Max lives in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, and has had an extensive business career spanning over 40 years. He has held a number of Senior Executive positions in large companies, as well as in the last 20 years, a number of directorships.

His strong commercial background, particularly in Primary Industry sector but also in Investment Management, gives him a very practical approach to business. This approach emphasizes good planning, good execution and tight management control. He believes that people with proven skills in their industry sector are essential for successful companies.

He holds a Bachelor of Economics from Auckland University.
